Visit The Settings Menu Before You Play

We have a rule on the team: open the settings before the first real session. It sounds fussy, but it has saved me from writing off good games because of bad defaults.

Default brightness and frame rate are usually set for a showroom, not your commute. Dropping both often improves battery and heat with no real downside. Many games default to the flashiest mode even on hardware that struggles with it.

Audio and haptics are personal. I usually keep music but ditch the constant vibration, which drains battery and does nothing for me. Subtitles and text size options are a quiet blessing on small screens too.

Finally, check the control settings. Sensitivity sliders and layout options hide in there, and tuning them early means the game feels right from the start instead of after an hour of frustration.
